The Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals had a another great season. Replace that with: the Bengals had a disappointing season. Here, you're going to find out why. Three main keys to the Bengals disappointing season were injuries, off-field problems, and not finishing games.

In the second game of the season, Rich Braham, our star center, got an injured knee. In that same game, linebacker David Pollack sustained a broken neck, and was out for the season. (Later, Rich Braham was ruled out for the season too).

While the Bengals were having injury problems, guys like Chris Henry and Odell Thurman just made it worse for the team by getting drunk and taking drugs. For their off-field problems, Chris Henry got suspended for two games during the middle of the season. Odell Thurman got suspended for the whole season.

David Pollack,(below), couldn't help that his neck gave way

while putting a hit on Browns running back Ruben Droughns.

Odell Thurman, (far below), could have helped the fact that

he got arrested two times, getting himeself a season

suspension.

The third thing that the Bengals should work on during next year's training camp is finishing games. They have to play good for all four quarters, not just three or two quarters. For instance, against the San Diego Chargers, the Bengals led 28-7 at the half. The big turning point was when one of the Bengals starting safetys, Madieu Williams, had stopped Ladainian Tomlinson, Charger star running back, and 2006 leauge MVP, but Ladainian stiff armed him, which is trying to push the defender away with your arm, and got a touchdown. The Chargers ended up beating the Bengals 49-41 in the most devastating loss of the season. If they had finished games, they could have been 10-6 or 11-5, or maybe even 12-4 and made the playoffs instead of their record of 8-8.

Those are the reasons I think the Bengals had an okay record, not a good record and a second consecutive playoff berth.

This is an excellent blog entry! Your links are well done and I like the photos and the video. Most of all, I like your writing--it has voice.
Congratulations! You're going to Columbus!
