Learning Target:
Round Fractions to nearest half.
Lesson:
To round to zero the numerator must be far away from the denominator.
To round to 1/2 the numerator must be close to half of the denominator.
To round to 1 the numerator must be close to the denominator.
Example:
19/70. With this fraction you would round to 1/2. You would round it there because it is 16 away from 35 and 19 away from 0. Another example is 9/56. You would round to 0 on this fraction because it is 9 is 19 away from 1/2 and 47 away from 1 so you would have to round to 0.

Target
Use stategies to develop formulas for finding the circumference of a circle.
Example
- The circumfernce of a circle can be found by multiplying Π by the diameter of a circle.
- If a circle has a diameter of 4, its circumference is Π*4=12.56.
-If you know the radius the diameter is twice as large.
Lesson
Multiply Π by the diameter and you will get the circumference of a circle
