Taiga Animals
Black bear
The black bear eats plants such as leaves, berries, nuts, and, roots. They also eat insects and other small mammals. The black bear has no predators. It is at the top of the food chain in the taiga.
Moose
The moose eats willow, birch, aspen twigs, horsetail, sedges, roots, pond weeds, and grasses. Nothing eats the moose that lives in the taiga.
Snowshoe Rabbit
Green grass, buds, twigs, and leaves is what the snowshoe rabbit eats. The snowshoe rabbit's predators are the lynx, the snowy owl, and the human which is the worst.
Bobcat
The bobcats mainly eat rabbits but they also eat rodents, birds, bats, and even adult deer. The bobcats are killed by farmers for fur, But they have no predators in the taiga.
River Otter
Their diet consist mainly on fish, but they also eat insects, frogs, and occasionally small roddents. It's enemies are the wolves, coyotes, and humans.
Red Tail Hawk
The red tail hawk's prey is small mammals. Those animals are mice, voles, shrews, moles, squirrles, chipmunks, rats, rabbit, opposums, muskrats, cats, skunks, and bats. Its only predator is the human.
