The Coordinate System
Learning Target: Graph ordered pairs of numbers on a coordinate plane.
Example:
There are numbers and letters on each of the lines of the grid space. You use a number and a letter to locate a specific square.
Q: What lines is the number I between?
A: (3,3), (2,3), (2,2), and (3,2)
Q: What lines is the number II between?
A: (3,3), (3,2), (2,2), and (2,3)
Q: What lines is the number III between?
A: (2,3), (4,2), (4,3) and (2,3)
Q: What lines is the number IV between?
A: (2,2), (4,2), (2,3), and (4,3)

densonr,I like how you have used the quadrant names in your lesson. Now that you know about negative coordinates you might want to change your examples. Your coordinate plane is great--where did you find it? I'd like to post a link to it.
