Target

Find area of shapes(triangle rectangle parallelograms)

Examples

Triangle- The base times the height then you divide it be 2.

Base=3 Height=2   So it would be 3*2=6÷2=3 which is the area.

Rectangle- The width times the legth.

Width=5 Legth=3  So it would be 5*3=15 which is the area.

Parallelogram-Make a imaginary right triangle by the otner one but delete the other.

Then it will be the same as a rectangle.

Converting improper factions to mixed numbers and visversa.Smile

Example

13                    3/13=   4  1            or     5    4              5*5=25+4=     29

3                                    3                         5                                  5

Lesson

If you had a improper fraction to a mixed decemal.  You will have to  divide the denomanator by the numerator.  Then the remaner is you fraction and anwer is the whole number.  Now if you had a mixed number to turn it in to a improper faction.  You will have to times the denomenator by the whole number.  Then add it to the numerator with the number you got.

Use stragety to develop formulas for finding the cirumference of a circle.

Example problem

If the diamitor is 5. What is the cirumference?

5*3.14=cirumfrence

5*3.14=15.7

Lesson

If you only have the cirumference or the diamitor. You then times it by π (pi). Then you get the answer.
