Adding Integers

Learning target:know how to add integers

Basic info: there are many different kinds of integers you need to know. The first kind is adding positive digits. When adding these numbers the sum is always a positive number. When adding negative numbers the sum is always negative. Adding positive numbers to negative numbers is a lot trickier. It depends on if the positive digit has less value compared to the negative digit.

EXAMPLES
+3+(+3)=+6
-3+(-3)=-6                             +=positve
+3+(-7)=-4                             -= negative
+7+(-3)=+4

LEARNING TARGET:

Converting inproper fractions to mixed numbers and visversa.Wink

EXAMPLE:Mixed number to inproper fraction

5 2 5*25+2=127 ANSWER =127

15 15 15

EXAMPLE: inproper fraction to mixed number

127 15/127=15 R2 Answer=15 2

15 15

SHORT LESSON ON SUBJECT: When you are converting mixed numbers to inproper fractions you first multiply the denomonater to the mixed number. After that you add the numerator and you get the number.

When you convert inproper fractions to mixed numbers you first divide the numerator by the denomonator. Next, you make a mixednumber with the remainder.

learning target:use strategies to develop formulas to find the circumference of circles

example on subject:c=3.14d

=3.14*6

=18.84 cm

short lesson on the subject:since pi is 3.14,3,14*6 would be 3*6=18+0.14*6=0.84, 18+o.84 is 18.84
