Learning target

Use strategies to develop formulas for finding the circumference of circles.

Example Problem

5*3.14=15.7

diameter              circumference

Lesson

To find the circumference of a circle you need to know the radias or the diameter. If you know the radias then you do the radias multaplied by two. Then multably by pi(3.14) to get your circumference. If you know the diameter then do the diameter multaplied by pi to get your circumference.

Circle with a diameter of 8 cm, circumference 25.12 cm
