The Rose Bowl
The first Rose Bowl was in 1902. Michigan (10-0) defeated Stanford (3-1-2) 49-0.
It was one of the most blown out Rose Bowls ever. In 1922 there was a 0-0 tie between California and Washington & Jefferson. In 1924 there was also a tie but between Washington and Navy at 14-14. There has been 8 games that have been decided by only 1 point. U.S.C. has played Ohio State 7 of their 30 trips to the Rose Bowl. 2 years ago the Rose Bowl was the National Championship and Texas beat U.S.C. 41-3. This year when Michigan tried to repeat the 1948 Rose Bowl (Michigan won 49-0) U.S.C. had other plans and beat Michigan 32-18.
