Learning target: Use stratagies to find formulas to find the circumfrence of a circle.

 Lesson: If the diamiter is 19.3 then you multiply it by pi witch is 3.14.

example:   19.3*3.14=60.6

Scribe Post Number One

Learning Target:

Estimate sums and differences using decimals

Example:

1.59.44 + 62.82

2.59+63=122 The number sentence 1 is the real problem. number 2 is the estimated version.

1.59.44 - 62.82

2.59 - 63=17

Lesson:

To estimate decimals you first round the decimals to the nearest one. After that, you add the rounded numbers. Numbers 4 ad below you round down. Numbers 5 and up you round up.

Solar water heater blog project
My problem was: will a solar water heater with a black backround work best? Will it work well with a top?

 Hypothosis:If i give the cooker a black backroud with a translucent top then, it will heat better.

Results: The solar water heater with a black backround and top works best.


This is my cooker.
