Question

My question is, will an uncovered white collecter be the best solar water heater of all?

Hypothesis

My hypothesis is, if black attracts the most heat, then black with a lid will be the best solar water heater.

Results

My results were, for the covered containers, covered black increased by 3.5 degrees. Covered white increased by just 3.0 degrees, 0.5 less degrees than covered black. For the uncovered containers, black increased by 3.0 degrees. White's increased water tempature was just an increase of 0.5 degrees! 

  Conclusion

  My conclusion is, based on the results, a black collector covered with a lid works best. 

  Changes

  If I could change something, it would be making sure there was sun outside when we did the experiment.   I'm saying that because when we did our project, it wasn't sunny, it was cloudy. I would make sure it was sunny outside.
