Finding the circumference of an object.
Lesson
To find a circumference, measure the perimeter of the object. For instance, if you're trying to figure out the circumference of a tree (below) then measure around the trunk. It must be a 3-D object. Make sure you measure the length around the object, not up or down. Another way to find a circumference is to multiply the diameter by Π. (3.14, also pi).
Example
2xΠ =6.28
Π= 3.14 (pi)
