The closest star to Earth (besides our sun) is something like 24,000,000,000,000 miles (38,000,000,000,000 kilometers) away. As a result, we don't use units like miles and kilometers to measure distance in space.  We have to use units that are much larger.  They are called light years.  Please read the questions below and then click on the link below them to find the answers.
