Learning Target: create  tessellations.

Example: This is a regular tessellation using squares. This is regular

because it only uses one type of polygon, a square.

A vertex is a point in a tessellation that the shapes fit nicely arround.

To tessellate the sum of the interior angles surrounding a vertex must be 360°.

Equalateral triangles, squares, and hexagons are the only

regular shapes that make regular tessellations.

In many tessellations shapes are rotated, translated, or reflected.
